Laradon’s Adult Day programs utilize Laradon’s expansive Denver campus and community sites to provide learning opportunities, skill-building activities, develop meaningful and on-going social relationships and to promote independence in all aspects of daily living. Individualized programs are designed to accommodate and support specific challenges a person might face as they strive to achieve their full potential. Within Laradon's Adult Day Program, there are numerous areas of emphasis designed to meet the needs of each individual.
Monday – Friday | 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Telehealth, evenings and weekends options available upon request
One area of emphasis is designed to meet the needs of individuals with serious and chronic medical conditions. Support for all aspects of their medical condition is provided throughout the day by trained staff and are closely overseen by our Medical Services Department.
Another area of emphasis is designed to empower individuals to overcome behavioral and psychological barriers that prevent them from utilizing the community resources and developing the relationships they desire. The high staff-to-client ratio promotes a safe and controlled environment where meaningful community engagement occurs. Staff members are trained in behavioral intervention and positive reinforcement strategies to ensure a safe and successful experience for all.
Another area of emphasis utilizes a blend of on-site and community resources to provide recreational, leisure and educational opportunities for adults seeking to engage with their peers. Typical activities include light exercise, current events, music, arts and crafts, games and community outings. High staff-to-client ratios are offered to ensure a safe environment for all individuals during activities. The average age ranges from young adult to seniors.
