Advocacy Programs

Laradon supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and assists in providing them with opportunities to work, socialize and be part of their communities. Laradon promotes self-advocacy through instruction, providing experiences and advising.

Laradon’s professional staff members assist individuals with interviewing potential providers, understanding complicated health and safety issues and assistance with getting involved in groups and activities that are of interest to the individual. The Mentorship Coordinator’s role is provide information to the individual on available resources and support individuals to make informed choices for themselves on major life issues and to promote self-advocacy.
