Day Habilitation Services
The Seniors program provides recreational, leisure, volunteer and educational opportunities to adults with developmental disabilities who are 50 years of age or older. Activities assist in maintaining optimum levels of physical and mental functioning. Participants enjoy social, physical and community activities with their peers. Assistance is also provided on an individual basis for personal hygiene, meal time and mobility needs.
Laradon's Seniors program also provides specialized services for individuals diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. High staff-to-client ratios provide close supervision and security in order to provide opportunities and encouragement to acquire skills to maintain independence. A comprehensive activity program is offered which takes into account the abilities, interests and needs of each participant. Typical activities include exercise, current events, music, arts and crafts, games and community outings.
