Looking for a unique opportunity to work with students who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability and mental health/behavior disorder? Laradon is looking for a Director of Children’s Services.  Needing a well organized person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to oversee the administration and operations of the Alternative School at Laradon.  Responsibilities include: supervising Alternative School staff, communicating effectively with staff, families and community agencies, establishing improvement plan for instruction and policies, identifying and obtaining funding support, participating and carrying out goals and objectives of the Annual Operating Plan, developing, implementing, monitoring and controlling the school budget, coordinating all admissions and discharges of the Alternative School and ensuring that policies, practices and procedures are in compliance with the general operating philosophy of Laradon as well as guidelines established through grantor agencies.  Requirements include a Master’s degree in Special Education, Colorado Department of Education Licensed Special Education Director, three years management or supervisory experience and minimum of five years teaching experience.  To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter to Laradon 5100 Lincoln St., Denver, CO 80216 or fax to 303-296-4012 or obtain an on-line application at www.Laradon.org and email to Katie.Romero@laradon.org.  EOE
