Vocational and Transitional Programs

The Community Participation programs in the Community and Employment Services Department provide adults with developmental disabilities, who have expressed the desire to perform work, either volunteer or paid, the opportunity to spend the day being actively involved in the community.

Activities include volunteer work, community education or training, leisure and recreation activities as well as the opportunity for paid work as part of a crew. The program offers the chance to make choices, experience inclusion and the opportunity to give back to the community.

Pre-vocational training is geared toward teaching work habits, attitudes and skills necessary for successful employment.
